Gaels Tryouts Begin Monday

Preparations for the 2023 OJBLL season officially get underway on Monday evening for the Green Gaels Junior Lacrosse Club as training camp gets underway at 8:00PM at Darlington Arena.

Training camp runs all week long culminating with the Annual Green and White game on Saturday, April 8th at Darlington Arena at 1:00PM providing players with their final opportunity to impress the Green Gaels coaching staff ahead of the team being selected for the 2023 season.

Monday, April 3 - 8:00PM to 10:00PM - Tryout - Darlington Arena
Tuesday, April 4 - 8:00PM to 10:00PM - Tryout - Darlington Arena
Thursday, April 6 - 8:00PM to 10:00PM - Tryout - Darlington Arena
Saturday, April 8 - 1:00PM - Green and White Game - Darlington Arena

The cost to attend all three tryout sessions is $20 and players must be registered with the Ontario Lacrosse Association prior to participating in any on-floor activity (click her to register). All players who do not reside in Whitby-Oshawa-Clarington and whose Junior “B” rights belong to another team must provide written proof that they have permission to attend our try outs. Players should be prepared to show their registration confirmation email if necessary at the tryouts.

The annual Green and White game is open to the public - admission is the donation of a non-perishable food item or the purchase of a 50/50 ticket. The Green and White game always produces great lacrosse action with 35-40 young men making their final push to impress the Gaels coaching staff in an effort to make the squad for the upcoming season.
